The method for evaluating sensory skin irritation response
Lee Eun-Young

Abstract
Sensory skin irritation is regarded as one of the most frequent side effects of cosmetic use. Thus it is necessary to develop new products with minimum sensory irritation that are more tolerable to consumers. However, it is difficult to quantify the sensory irritation potential of cosmetic products and their ingredients. In this review the methods for evaluation of sensory skin irritation and the determining factors of stinging response to chemicals are discussed briefly.
